Almut: What’s the rush?
An up-and-coming chef and a recently divorced woman find their lives forever changed when a chance encounter brings them together, in a deeply moving romance that lasts a decade. When Florence Pugh was unable to attend the film’s premiere due to other filming commitments, Andrew Garfield brought a life-size cutout of her to fill her absence. During the living room scene with the candles and fire, Almut closes Tobias’s notebook, but in the next shot it’s open.

Tobias: Because I’m worried that there’s a very distinct and real possibility that I’m about to fall in love with you. Is It a SinWritten by Al HazanPlayed by Allie HazanI went to see this movie during a free screening. I had high hopes as the two leads are phenomenal actors.
You know the characters
I wanted to love this movie, but it just felt disjointed. In most movies where something mysterious or emotional happens, there’s a buildup. You feel connected to them.
In this case, there was no such buildup
It was hard to really feel anything for what’s happening. I’m also not a fan of movies where multiple timelines are thrown together and jumping back and forth. Especially when there’s not much to let you recognize which timeline you’re watching.
